“The swell is on the decrease and the onshore winds are scheduled to get worse throughout the day so we’ve called a lay day,” Rich Porta, ASP International Head Judge, sagte. “I cannot remember a time when we’ve ran the first four days of a combined event and we’re in a good position to capitalize on the remainder of the waiting period. The swell forecast for this weekend looks promising but we’ll be back tomorrow morning to assess conditions and make a call then.”
