Die Mädels hatten es beim SWATCH GIRLS PRO FRANCE 2012 in Frankreich nicht leicht, denn die kurze Waiting-Periode liess nicht viel Zeit um auf gute Wellen zu warten. Nach zwei Tagen Baggersee-Bedingungen gab es dann am letzten Contesttag nochmal etwas Bewegung auf dem Teich.
Am Ende war es das SWATCH Aushängeschild Courtney Conlogue die sich an die Spitze Surfen konnte. Die 19-jährige Amerikanerin zeigte, dass sie bei allen Bedingungen am Besten zurecht kommt. „It feels amazing to come out with a win here, I’ve always loved coming to France and I had my sights set on taking out a win this year,” so Conlogue. “The waves were really fun this morning when it was glassy and I felt like I got into a good rhythm. I had some tough heats with girls like Alessa (Quizon) and Sage surfing super well, and I managed to snag a couple of decent rights in the final. The waves were really good this morning, but even with the onshores it the final there were still fun ones out there.”

Leila Hurst war mit Sicherheit die Überraschung, da sie bei den Juniors und in der Open Class gestartet ist und mit einem dritten Platz in beiden Kategorien überzeugte. Von ihr werden wir noch viel hören! Mehr Infos gibt’s HIER
